Yes — Free Joint Friday™ is still going strong every single Friday at GreenRX™ Madison (4261 Lien Rd) and GreenRX™ Sauk City (815 Phillips Blvd). Buy any flower, show a valid 21+ ID, and you walk out with one free THCA joint. No coupon, no app, no catch — just Friday.
Some promotions fade after a few months. Free Joint Friday™ did the opposite. It started in 2018, and it has kept the same simple rule every week since: come in on a Friday, pick up flower, and take a free joint home. Fall is here, football Saturdays are back, and the two busiest Free Joint Friday™ counters in the GreenRX™ family are Madison and Sauk City. Here is everything you need to know before you swing by this Friday.

Why Free Joint Friday™ is still going strong
The short answer: it is simple, and it never moves. Free Joint Friday™ is not tied to a holiday or a launch. It does not need a promo code you have to dig out of your inbox. Regulars plan their week around it because they know it will be there.
That consistency is the whole point. Since 2018 it has become a Wisconsin habit — “I’ll grab it Friday” means something to a lot of people in Dane and Sauk counties. If you want the full backstory, read Free Joint Friday™: A Wisconsin Tradition Since 2018.
- Same day every week — Friday, no exceptions.
- Same rule every week — buy flower, get a joint.
- Strain rotates — so there is a reason to come back.
- Stackable — it works alongside the $3.95 Joint of the Week™ and other GreenRX™ savings.
Free Joint Friday™ at GreenRX™ Madison
GreenRX™ Madison sits on the east side at 4261 Lien Rd, Suite R — an easy stop off the Interstate and close to East Towne. It is the flagship Free Joint Friday™ counter and usually the busiest one on a Friday afternoon.

Out in the river valley, GreenRX™ Sauk City runs the exact same Free Joint Friday™ deal at 815 Phillips Blvd, right on Highway 12. It serves Sauk City, Prairie du Sac, Spring Green, Lodi and Baraboo traffic, and it is a quick stop on the way to or from Madison.

Madison or Sauk City: which Free Joint Friday™ counter fits you?
Both stores honor the same Free Joint Friday™ rule, so the choice comes down to where your Friday takes you.
Pick GreenRX™ Madison if…
You live or work on the east side, you are coming off the Interstate, or you want the widest shelf to browse while you are there. Madison is also open until 7 p.m. on Saturdays, which helps if you forget something for the game.
Pick GreenRX™ Sauk City if…
You are in the Sauk Prairie area, heading toward Spring Green or Baraboo for the weekend, or you would rather skip city traffic. Sauk City also offers free local delivery on $25+ orders, so the rest of your weekend order can come to you.
Either way, the free joint is the same, the ID check is the same, and the friendly “thank you for pot smoking” on the way out is the same.
How to claim your Free Joint Friday™ joint
There are no hoops. Here is the whole process:
- Visit GreenRX™ Madison or GreenRX™ Sauk City on any Friday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Bring a valid government ID showing you are 21 or older.
- Buy any flower — any strain, any size.
- Ask for your Free Joint Friday™ joint at the counter. One per person, per Friday.
Pro tip: Fridays get busy after 4 p.m. Come in late morning or early afternoon for a shorter line and the full pick of the flower shelf.
Friday pickup, Saturday tailgate
It is football season in Wisconsin, and a lot of Friday customers are thinking about Saturday. That is where the American Cannabis Society® “Tailgate Legends — Saturday’s Best” art comes in: grab your flower and your free joint on Friday, then fire up the grill on game day.
A quick reminder from the counter: enjoy at home or at a private gathering, keep it away from minors, and never drive after consuming. A designated driver is a true tailgate legend.
Stack more savings on top of Free Joint Friday™
The free joint is the floor, not the ceiling. Regulars stack it with:
- Joint of the Week™ at $3.95 with a purchase of $5 or more (limit one per customer per day).
- Coupon codes from GreenRX™ Coupons for online orders, pickup and delivery.
- Online ordering through Thank You For Pot Smoking®.
- Other counters: GreenRX™ Sun Prairie runs Free Joint Friday™ too.
